OUR INITIATIVES
1. SETTING UP
LOCAL COMMUNITIES
BONAIRE- CURACAO
SCHIEDAM- OMAN
Club17
Club17 is a community of local stakeholders in a city, on an island, or country that works together to make their community a more sustainable place to live, work, and visit. Inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG17), Club17 strives for global partnerships to achieve sustainable development. They not only collaborate but also initiate joint projects to achieve their common goals.

D-TAP Foundation sets up, on non-profit basis, these Club17 communities for the betterment of society and coordinates all contacts and projects to achieve their shared objectives.

2. CLUB17
SDG-CHALLENGE

Club17 SDG-Challenge Oman 2025 kick-off day Middle East - College

The Club17 SDG Challenge is a hands-on sustainability challenge that brings together young people, educational institutions, businesses, and civil society organizations to work on real societal challenges. The Sustainable Development Goals guide the process, with a strong focus on learning by doing and collaboration.

During the challenge, multidisciplinary student teams work on concrete assignments provided by organizations. Supported by professionals, they develop practical and feasible solutions that respond to real needs. In this way, young people not only learn about sustainability, but also experience how their skills and ideas can create real impact. Organizations gain fresh perspectives and actionable insights that fit their context.

The first edition of the Club17 SDG Challenge took place in Oman. This edition shows how the challenge works in practice, from defining the challenge and conducting research to presenting solutions to a professional jury. The Oman edition serves as a tangible example of the structure, energy, and impact of the challenge.

D-TAP Foundation facilitates the Club17 SDG Challenge because it believes in the power of partnerships and youth-driven solutions. And it is our first project to set up an Club17. By connecting people around shared challenges, the challenge helps turn learning into action and ideas into real projects
