OUR INITIATIVES
1. SETTING UP
LOCAL COMMUNITIES
BONAIRE- CURACAO
SCHIEDAM- OMAN
Club17
Club17 is a community of local stakeholders in a city, on an island, or country that works together to make their community a more sustainable place to live, work, and visit. Inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG17), Club17 strives for global partnerships to achieve sustainable development. They not only collaborate but also initiate joint projects to achieve their common goals.

D-TAP Foundation sets up, on non-profit basis, these Club17 communities for the betterment of society and coordinates all contacts and projects to achieve their shared objectives.
2. D-TAP PROJECTS

This project is supported by The Cultural Participation Fund and Club17 Curacao members.
Living History of Otrobanda is a cultural heritage project designed to empower young people (ages 12-22) in the Otrobanda district of Curaçao. The goal is to provide them with the tools and skills to explore their personal and community history, develop their talents, and express themselves through creative storytelling.

By participating in this project, youth will engage with their roots, document the stories of their neighborhood, and showcase their history through film, photography, poetry, and podcasts. This process fosters personal growth, strengthens social connections, and builds resilience within the community.

Launched in December 2024, the project includes weekly workshops led by local professionals in filmmaking, writing, and audio production. Young participants will experiment with different creative forms to tell their stories in a way that is meaningful to them.

The project will culminate in an exhibition in May 2025, where the final works will be presented to the public offering family, friends, businesses, tourists, and the local community an authentic glimpse into the history of Otrobanda.
A public award will be given to the most impactful story, with the winner earning a special opportunity to work with a Club 17 Curacao member organization.
